Environmental Waste Operations Center (EWOC)

930 Perimeter Rd, Oak Ridge, TN - (352) 562-6101

Multi-Disciplinary Low Level Radioactive Waste Processing and Treatment Facility

Located at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP) Oak Ridge, TN is EWOC, an 8.7 acre site, dedicated to supporting Low- Level Radioactive Waste (LLRW), and disposition of multiple waste streams from both government and commercial customers. Unlike Perma-Fix's other treatment facilities, EWOC serves primarily as a mutli-disciplinary processing center. EWOC includes 17,360 sq. ft. of indoor processing space and three outdoor licensed radioactive materials storage areas.

The ultimate objective of this facility is receipt, preparation, packaging, and transportation of LLRW to approved final disposal facilities (landfills, radiological waste repositories). EWOC furthers Perma-Fix's mission; to provide safe and cost effective solutions to complex waste management issues. This facility is highly synergistic with existing operations, and has added new high demand service offerings.
